Privacy Policy
Last updated 20 October 2026. This notice covers Mobile Smart Repairs Bury, a trading name of Dean Seville, referred to here as "we" or "us". It describes the personal information we gather through this website, quote requests, photo uploads, bookings and other contact, and how that information is used.
Controller and how to reach us
Dean Seville decides how customer information is used to run this repair service, which makes us its controller. Questions about your information can go to 07999 909 404, or through our quote form with "privacy request" in the message.
The information involved
- Who you are and how to reach you: name, phone, email, postcode and the address the repair happens at.
- Your vehicle: make, model, registration and pictures of the damage.
- Our dealings with you: quotes, bookings, messages, invoices and any warranty claim.
- Technical details our website and form suppliers collect, such as IP address, device, browser, the referring page and site usage.
It helps if photos you send don't show people, house numbers or other personal details.
What we use it for, and the legal basis
- Responding to your enquiry and pricing the work, because you asked us to before entering a contract.
- Scheduling and doing the repair, as part of our contract with you.
- Collecting payment and keeping accounts, for the contract and to meet legal duties.
- Handling complaints and warranty claims, under the contract and our legitimate interests.
- Guarding the website and business against misuse, as a legitimate interest.
Non-essential analytics or marketing tools run only if consent rules permit them. Change your mind later and we'll respect it, including ending any marketing.
Who sees it
Data is passed on only when needed: to our technicians; to the hosts of our website, forms and customer records; to phone, email and messaging services; to payment providers; to our accountant and other professional advisers; and to authorities when the law demands it. The quote form runs on LeadConnector (HighLevel). Choosing PayPal or Klarna means that provider processes the payment or credit decision under its own terms and privacy notice. Full card details are not normally held by us, and personal data is never sold.
Outside the UK, and security
A few providers that power our website, forms, messaging or analytics may process information outside the UK. For restricted transfers we rely on UK adequacy decisions or approved safeguards. Appropriate technical and organisational measures protect your information, but no internet transmission is ever completely secure.
Retention
- Enquiries and photos with no booking: held for up to 24 months after we last spoke, longer only if a dispute requires it.
- Repair jobs, invoices and payments: kept around six years beyond the close of the relevant accounting year.
- Warranty and complaint records: for as long as they stay relevant, then for a reasonable time.
Periodically we check what we hold and remove what's no longer needed, unless a legal duty or potential claim means we must retain it.
Cookies
Some cookies are essential for the website and quote form to run. Enabling analytics, advertising or other embedded services may add further cookies. Your browser can refuse cookies, at the cost of some features not working. We will audit any non-essential cookies on the site and request consent, where it's legally needed, before setting them.
Your rights
Subject to the circumstances, you may access your information, correct or erase it, restrict or object to some uses, take a portable copy and withdraw consent we rely on. Legal conditions attach to several of these. Reach us through the details near the top of this notice to act on any of them. If our handling of your information leaves you dissatisfied, raise it with the Information Commissioner's Office.
Updates
This notice is revised when our services, suppliers or legal obligations change. The date in the opening line shows when it last changed.
